Hallo friends, just a reminder , it won`t be long before we start thinking of seeds for next year, so all you generous contributors, when saving seeds for next year please save a few extra for the swap. I will be starting list off by the end of August, so if anyone would like to join please add your name to the list when posted, there will be a copy of the rules posted at the same time, they will be the same as last year if anyone wants to see .:spinning: :dbgrtmb:

I'd love to join in and am happy to include the cost of the additional postage to France as it would be unfair on whoever was before me on the list to have to pay it, if that's not too awkward to organise for you. I could put some stamps in with the seeds I send to you that could go round with the full package to be used by whoever has to send it to me. Won't cost me extra to post on as my OH commutes to the UK every week so will take it with him and post from there.

Might be best if you were on the tail-end? Otherwise the delay of awaiting Hubby coming to England will hold up the parcel. I think last time @pamsdish sorted out the seeds that overseas folk wanted and sent them separately (although I think the parcel did go to France - to @noisette47 perhaps? Maybe combining a couple of drops in France is also an answer?

Whatever suits everyone, I don't mind being last if that's easiest.

I think @noisette47 found the cost prohibitive, but if 2 of you could share the cost of getting it to France, then your hubby posts in U.K. it may interest noisette, perhaps the 2 of you could p.m. each other and see if it could be worked out. :what:

Hi all, I didn't find the cost prohibitive, (steep but not prohibitive:biggrin:) but I was very disappointed with the last-minute change to the proposed arrangement last year. It's a sad fact that winters here are so dreary I was really looking forward to it!
In the end I did receive the parcel and was quite happy to pay for postage both ways.
I'm more than happy to share costs with Eve, so will get some seeds in the post to Pam this week and will await Eve's PM:)

What was that change? (so that we can perhaps do better this year? :) )

Do you want to send the seeds to me and my OH can post them to Pam with mine? I'll pm you my address anyway.

It wasn't a problem in the end, Kristen, but the proposal to send a written list to choose from just wouldn't have been the same:) That's how desperate you get in rural France during the winter months ;)
Hopefully, Eve and I will work things out so everyone is happy with the arrangements. If there is anything in particular that folks want in the way of seeds, do PM me and I'll try to make sure that they're included in the parcel.

Ah I see. Designed to save money on postage I presume ... Fly over and visit members' gardens at the time that the seed parcel is with them?

 Given the quick turnaround, that would tax my organisational abilities to the limit! I will make it to one of Shiney's open days, though......I will.
