    I planted some seeds in March which have come up very lanky, an dindeed most have broken or been weighed down due to the height of them. How can I avoid thisin future?

    sounds like they were grown indoors with insufficient light ....... where were they and what varieties?

    That's happened to most folk, dabbit. Not enough light and too much heat are the usual culprits.
