    Hey all,

After the hail and rain this morning my little seedlings appear to have long white stalks showing.

Is this something to be concerned about? is it normal? surely the white bits should still be under ground as the seedlings arounf the edge of the pot that were protected only have their little leaves sticking above the dirt.

    Thanks in advance.

:gaah: don't mention hail ...lol. The plants I had hardening off got battered with hail and rain last night! The weather is certainly being a pain. Maybe your seedlings got a bit battered too so hopefully they will bounce back.

Just had a load more hail, a few have broken in half now.. It is a pain in the bum lol.

I'm not majorly upset as they are fast growing (I only put the seed in a week ago), just hope they all survive though as I am impatient and like to see things happening, waiting another rweek would drive me crazy

Its bad news all this weather at this time of year, don't think the ones with broken stems will make it Adam. Got time for another sowing though.

the ones with white stalks showing (seen in the photo) will they be ok? I was worried the white bits were part of its root system
