Seedlings appearing.

    I've sown some phormium seeds, and they are germinating now.

    I thought winter sowing them would give them a good start when I plant them out in the spring.

    The perenial hibiscus seedlings are growing well under the lights, but there are no signs of the mirabilis yet.

    They failed in the spring too. Perhaps I should cut them out of their casings; any advice?

    Rich,I have grown Mirabilis,mine is the yellow variety with seeds that are black and round,and mine come up like weeds,and that is with no special attention.The tubers are black in colour and look a bit like carrots.I just sow mine in multi purpose compost,water them and just put them on the staging.I normally do mine in spring
