I started my Lewisia seeds on damp paper towel in a baggy in the fridge and have added Gloxinia.

They have germinated and my question is this ... can I just "plant" the paper towel rather than pricking around with tweezers? I remember I did this years ago with Tomato seed and that worked.

Thank you in advance for any comments/thoughts.

I just try to remove as much paper as possible without damaging the root.
It can be tricky if they have made long roots, but some paper isn't usually a problem as long as it stays damp.

I've planted with paper towel attached before and all was fine Vicky.:dbgrtmb:

You could perhaps soak the towels first as they normally disintegrate quite well too.

In many ways it is better to plant the towel than risk damaging the radicle which would then slow down the growth of the seedlings.
