Most hardware shops have a selection of plastic tubs square or round with push on lids which should keep them nice and dry.

Pound shops and PoundStretcher are great for plastic boxes or use a biscuit tin or Quality Street toffee tin. I have a nice wooden box for storing my seeds in . Store them in a cool place , greenhouses and shed are normally to hot.

Wherever you decide, keep one of those moisture absorbing packets you get in shoes in.

Air tight container. Biscuit tin, or a Tupperware box. Even a zip-lock bag will do. In the fridge, down the bottom, make sure they do NOT come into contact with the freezing element at the back.

They need to stay dry (and fridge has a lot higher humidity / condensation than in the room), so must be airtight - plus a silica-gel packet to absorb any moisture would be good (put it in the oven for 10 minutes after it is turned off after cooking the sunday joint to make sure it is properly dry).

Failing that the same airtight container in the coolest room in the house, out of direct sunlight.

Unopened packets will keep better than opened ones, and some seeds have very short viability life - e.g. Parsnips and Carrots - so don't attempt to keep those at all, get fresh ones next season.
