    Our daughter is expecting her fourth child in November at the ripe old age of 42. She's had all the tests and everything's going to plan. (As an ex-specialised GOS paeds nurse, she's was very aware of the possible problems and has taken all the necessary precautions). The current house extension to provide a much bigger kitchen and dining room will be completed well in time and they had a fifth bedroom added some years ago, as four children was "part of the plan." She's always been that organised.
    On her visit for her last check-up she took her youngest child with her and let her see the ultra-sound picture. Apparently they are in "3D" now. Armed with a copy of a photo of her new sibling our three year-old granddaughter returned home and was showing her friend, who asked;

    "Will it be a boy or a girl?"

    Fair enough....

    Thanks for all your kind words.

    Kids are a scream aren't they?

    Both her mother and grandmother are very wimpy when it comes to thunder and lightning. The child started her first full day at nursery school last week, previously she only did half days.

    When her mother collected her, she asked her how her day had gone.

    "OK, but we had a storm."

    "Did you?"

    "Yes! But the teacher didn't say; 'Run and hide!'"

    Many congratulations to all concerned.

    I just love the things children say. When our daughter was told of a forthcoming sibling she couldn't wait to tell everyone 'Mummy's having a baby, but it won't be like me, it'll be a proper baby'. That tells you all you need to know about our eldest daughter!
