    We had a brilliant few days away in Greenwich. We saw this rather handsome pelican happily posing in Regents Park.

    I agree with Rosa, they are great shots, Kath. :gnthb:

    The pelican is probably just past the mating season, those growths on the top beak are a sign.

    A wonderful bird is a Pelican its beak can hold more fish than its belly can:)

    The picture of the peacock was taken from the little train - it was a family with young which I had never seen before!

    Kew gardens is brilliant for peacocks! Did you see all the wild parrots as well?

    Mztrouble, hi no we never saw any unfortunately. :(

    Woo, well I never! Our hotel was right next to Greenwich Park (we discovered the area when my sister lived on Shooters Hill Road]
    You know the walk under The Thames then. The Cutty Sark is all covered at the moment. The area around there was so busy and lively in the warm evenings, it was lovely!
