sending plants through the post

    hi all
    just wondering if anyone has any ideas about sending young plants in the post,packaging???

    If there small I wrap the roots in Damp kitchen paper placed inside rolled cardboard, empty toilet/kitchen role, bubble wrap then into a bubble envelope, if you post first class it should arrive the next day, So not too much stress to the plant.. I do write PLANT on the envelope.. Probably because i think the PO will take extra care hahaha..

    You've just reminded me of something a mate of mine was telling me about years ago. He had a particularly paranoid mate who lived away, and they kept in touch mainly by letter. My mate decided on a joke that would play on his mate's paranoia. He wrote his letter, then put a few bits of old wire in the envelope with it, put a greasy stain on the envelope, and wrote "This is not a bomb" on the back of it. Several days passed before the letter finally reached its destination, in a sealed clear plastic bag with the remains of the envelope in it having been carefully cut to pieces.

    OMG Clueless, He'd be locked up if he done that now :)
