Celia. Are they Gladiolus callianthus, the peacock orchid? also known as acidanthera but that is the old name.

OK I picked up on that KG. The picture on that thread makes it clearer. Glad to see that LoL agrees with me. Acidanthera it is. Why do they keep changing plants' names? Is it just to confuse us poor gardeners?

Thanks everyone, I remember now! I saw the photo on the link you put up Kedi when it was posted and thought how pretty, I didn't know I'd got some :D

 

The same thing happened to me Celia when I saw that windy had them!!!
