Well done all who entered. The standard was exceptional and made it very difficult to decide how to vote.
The top three were really outstanding photos.

NOW GET YOUR SKATES ON RODERS AND DECIDE ON THE NEXT THEME. We leave for a holiday tomorrow morn at 6.30 and I'd like to know what to point the box brownie at while we are away. :D :D

[IMG] Thanks to everyone who voted for my pic.
I thought it was quite good at the time, but not that good,it was an idea that just came drifting by and it worked, sometimes they do and sometimes they dont as you all well know.

Well after some deliberation I have decided that the subject for the October competition is THE GLORY OF LEAVES.
Now I hope this is not to restrictive but I think if we use our imagination(and I know there is plenty of that on GC)we can produce some crackers. Thanks again friends.

PS.Hornbeam,by the way Marley won it last month.

Well done roders and Hornbeam, both brilliant photos, I was quite surprised to end up in joint third place as I really didn't think my photos was up to much!

Congratulations Roders - I loved your picture. I went into a church in Suffolk on Sunday after the Harvest Festival. The lady vicar had asked the children to bring useful things along as offerings to donate to the homeless. As well as the useful perishables there were toilet rolls, washing powder and packets and cans with a long shelf life.
It was a brilliant idea and one that should be copied in all churches around the country.
