September Photo Competition

    Ready for Septembers Photo Competition? Please follow guidelines below :-

    1. Entries to be submitted by 23.59H on the 30th September 2005.

    2. There will not be a prize, only the self satisfaction that you have entered (I will stress, this is what you, the users have decided)

    3. I would like to limit the number of pics you can enter to three (3).

    4. Pictures are to be of the theme 'Out and about, I saw.........' , (whatever wildlife, plants,parklife etc) .A broad category for this month ;) .

    5. Please post your pics within this thread for entry into the competition.

    7. The winner will be decided by the users of the forum .


    Please note, this is mostly for fun, BUT, it is also a chance for you to show off your photography skills.

    Users Vote Guidelines below:-

    1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.

    2. Competitors vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - The photograph with the most votes wins etc etc.

    3. Competitors votes should not be cast until after the competition closes and be in before 11.59pm three days after the competition closes.

    All members of the forum get a vote, not just those who've submitted pictures.

    looks like i'm first again, i have a large archive of my photo's
    a few weeks ago my wife and i were camping an the edge of North Yorkshire Moors when we heard a strange scuttling underneath the groundsheet of our tent, i put i peice of bread down and waited camera poised, 20 minutes later he finally stuck his head out.

    Yes I agree Marley a lucky shot - what a broad subject for the competition this month - good one Nathan its all hotting up and even more entertaining than I imagined.

    hi all,
    Ahh what a great pic of the mole,
    i am going to enter this month, i don't know how to get the pic in the post, but i think i can do the link thing, ok here goes,

    1) my baby spider nest that i saw a couple of months ago, they were all about 1mm big. [​IMG]

    just to say, my picture is of a Common Shrew and not a mole, i actually sat and watched it come and go back and forth under the ground sheet for 15 minutes, before i could get a good shot of it, at least half a dozen shots were deleted before the timing was right, so alas it was more patience than luck.

    WOW! IckleWeed, a really stunning photo of the dragonfly, such a clear sharp image would make a great desktop wallpaper. :eek:

    What camera have you got ickleweed,it takes closeups well, and I reckon you've got a lot of patience ;)

    What a fantastic photo! Was just thinking I might post a picture for the competition but maybe not after seeing the photos so far!

    Now we are talking quality photos - love the gull Samsoph and yours are amazing Ickleweed, what camera are you using?
