Unknown tree. Was out for dinner tonight and moving on to a coffee house as one does here, we sat under these trees. Much to t'other halfs horror I and the other couple appropriated flowers and seeds ...

Will be posted tomorrow so when you get home from work ....

Thank you in advance because I know you'll know ... [IMG]

I am very annoyed ... I specifically walked back to this area today when I went shopping to get a picture of the actual trees, and the camera threw a wobbly saying the memory card was full when there was nothing on it!

I lost about twenty pictures of the storks, these trees, white Plumbago, Pomegranate trees, etc, so I'll have to go back.

T'other half reformatted or whatever the card and this is what I picked last night ...

I thought I'd put a close up of the flower as well, quite like a Sweet Pea. I had thought Erythrina (Coral Tree) but of the five I have pictured in my book, neither the leaves for flowers match.

Afternoon, Blackthorn. Certainly no more than 10 feet at a guesstimate. There are four or five of them in a row in front of these cafe/bars. I've seen them for years but from the road and this was the first time I was close to them.

On one of the sites I was looking at it mentioned 100% germination rate  and is considered invasive.

Do you want to have a try with the others? They all have these lovely ferny leaves, don't they?

I love it - do you think it would grow here Sis? If yes, please send me a few seeds, thanks. What zone are we up here?

According to my book you are Zone 6 ... you'd have to overwinter it in the Wintergarten and take it onto the patio in the summer.

Can you believe I have missed really noticing them all these years? To be honest, looking at them from a distance I always thought they were Sorbus aucuparia, Mountain Ash! [IMG]

Just arrived LOL, sesabania would have come to mind eventually although It wouldn't have come to mind straight away.
It looks a nice tree, I wonder if it flowers while still small, I seem to remember Fran talking about it a while back, and just managing to overwinter it outside.

I have the Jacaranda and Albizia cooking as we speak so they can keep them company. It's called the 'Bringing a bit of Portugal to Cornwall' project [IMG]

My Sesbania seeds bought early last year didn't germinate but they could have been old stock. :(
I understand they do flower when quite small.
