shaded hedge

    any suggestions for what I could plant for a hedge in a shaded area. will the boundry between myself and a mixed species wood and want it to look in keeping

    What kind of soil are you dealing with? If acidic, then go for the rhodies, and peiris - both woodland plants and should fit well - or as a lateral thought ferns.

    mixed woodland? maybe something like hornbeam, beech, or hawthorn. all good hedgeing plants and all very good for wildlife.
