I've got a shady corner in our garden, I'd love to plant a tree in it but on the otherside of the fence is a neighbours garage so to close for roots etc. The corner never gets any sun and no grass grows on it!

What can I plant there, am thinking a small tree (I'd love to hang lanterns and windchimes on it, something with small roots?) or perhaps a small bush with lovely flowers or something?

    Anyone got any clever ideas?

why dont you put some trellis up and grow ivy..and make a feature of lanterns hanging on bamboo sticks or old branches....or screen it off with that grass you can buy on the roll and make a shady seating area..or even make a small pond their with lots of bog plants and things of interest..sorry i have been watching too much garden tv..i get carried away..
