I'd be grateful for help with a shady problem. My neighbour's Leylandii hedge is huge and shades one side of my SW facing garden. The soil beneath these trees is horrendous - bare, dry & acidic.
I'd like to do something to cover the ground or screen the bare earth a bit.

Someone recommended a bamboo screen - any thoughts? Would I need to bury planters in the rubbish soil?

Any help would be gratefully received, thanks [IMG]
