I'm putting my mind to cuprinolling the fences and shed in the garden. After 2.5yrs neglect I gave them a quick once over this year out of guilt but want to get into an annual autumn routine when the beds are empty.

I started off using the Cuprinol Shed and Fence Protector which was drunk up by the parched wood. The problem was after £60 I'd done about a quarter of the fences so gave that up and bought the homebase stuff instead. Which went on like paint. And is a bit flaky now.

So now after some procrastinating I'd like some thoughts on the most sensible fence protection. The father in law swears by Cuprinol and while buy cheap pay twice may apply here I find it a bit unlikely you have to pay 3 times as much for a decent protection.

So what say you? Not too fussed about matching the previous colour (dark brown) and while I saw a lovely white shed on this forum earlier I think I'll stick with the existing hues.

Creocote or creosote if you can get it. You won't need to do them every year then either. I used Wilkos own for my grow house project and that seems ok aswell.
