Shiney would love to visit your garden and have a game of snap in the evening. But it's a bit too far for a day trip so have a really good day for a good cause.

Thanks for your good wishes. It is a good charity and it also has the side effect of making us get the garden tidy :D

Thanks Woo, :thumb: but it's not for another two weeks yet :). I hope the weather is as good as this on the 25th.

I've been slogging my guts out in this hot weather trying to get the garden ready. As it has been so hot our thousands of cowslips, primroses and primulas are going over . It would have been good if they had lasted until the open day. Of course, the hot weather has brought on the aquilegia so there will be a riot of colour from them :). Also, with a bit of luck, the wild bee orchids may be in flower. Last year only a few appeared but this year I have counted 27 popping up in the lawns :thumb: but it makes it very difficult mowing .

We've made a new bed this spring, about 100 sq ft, so we shall have to shove in some odd plants that are lying around and then re-arrange it later.

Some of the runner beans are already doing well outside (lots more coming on in the greenhouse just in case, and shall be planting out some baby caulis that we are trialing.

Mrs shiney is working on the plants for sale and trying to get them to look good. Me yelling at them and telling them to 'stand up straight' hasn't worked :D.
