I have the remnants of a sack of onions, bought in the supermarket, and some of the onions are sprouting leaves - If I planted them, would they give me anything?

They'll be looking to make a seed head now, you'll still get some leaves to eat but the hollow flower stem is not much use. I often lob sprouting ones back in, they'll sometimes divide themselves.

Might see if I can find a corner to shove them in and see what they do then - thanks :)

Having had a 'perusal of the estate' (wander round the garden to you and me ) this morning, I cannot think of anywhere that I could lob them in, so they are likely to end up going to compost.
