Thought I'd take a longer way home today from college through the woods (on the other side of near where I live:) not the smaller copse) and I couldn't believe how many bluebells there where:luv: I've always known that it was full of bluebells but they've normally been sparsely flowered but this year almost every plant I could see had flowers on it:yho: and lots it was really spectacular I'll probably take some photo's at the weekend when I've got a bit more free time, I've also noticed that the cowslips have bulked up considerably on numbers since last year (now up from about 7 to 14+)

I also think that the the bluebells are most certainly Hyacinthoides non-scripta as they had a very delicate fragrance and bent down at the top :) although there was at least one clump of Spanish bluebells (might just slip with my foot at the weekend and stomp on it...)

I also by accident came across a young fox lying down in a marshy area (marshy in winter anyway more of a sun-trap in spring/summer) at which point I took a few steps back being originally within touching distance (far to close...) and made a clapping sound at which point it took one look at me and scarpered:hehe: I actually first of all wondered if it was dead but it appears now that it was just enjoying the sun

    Lovely photos Aesc!

Especially great of the fox. Looks like you have a lovely 'local patch' :)

I'm not so good on wild flowers, what is the flower below the fox photo??

    Cheers,

    Kath
