Should I aerate the lawn again this spring?

    Hi All

Last autumn I have aerated the lawn, and applied top soil with organic matter.
This spring, I am thinking of putting down more organic matter on the lawn, as the grass looks a bit pale green rather than rich green. I have taken out thatches, mowed a few times, but should I aerate again before applying the organic stuff (compost), or maybe it is not necessary?

Thanks for your advice and feedback in advance.

It wouldn't hurt to aerate again before applying more to the surface as it will help guard against compaction.

Thank you for your advice. Yes, I would like to aerate again, but doing it with a fork was hurting my back, and took long time last autumn. Maybe I need some kind of aerator? The lawn is about 25x 35 ft.
