Play fighting the lad just now, I had him well restrained from behind, while I tickled him. He couldn't get away because I had him in a body lock. The hold I used also meant he couldn't hit me to escape. So, and this was no accident, he clearly thought of it, he reverse head butted me right in the face as hard as he could.

I don't know whether to be proud of him for using his loaf (literally in this case), or annoyed at him for nutting me one. I was getting him after all. I'd like to think that when he's older, if he finds himself on the receiving end of a thug's malice, that he'll apply that quick thinking to enable his escape, but flip side is I don't want to create a thug.

Nice 1 junior clue! He used his head to think of a way to escape. Absolutely not wrong with that!

My little un has done the same @clueless1 nothing to worry about (in my view anyway) I thought he'd broke my nose :cry3:
As long he knows right from wrong and when to do it!

I should have added, wait till your Eldest puts you in hospital and you get accused of getting into a fight in the pub by some non English speaking doctor who doesn't understand the term "Domestic Violence."

All good fun being a parent, wouldn't have missed a second of it though :)

I must admit I was (and am) leaning more towards proud than annoyed, with a good measure of amused thrown in too.

The thing is, I don't know where he gets his tough head from. I've had the misfortune of having banged my head in more than my fair share of accidents and other mishaps, but my head isn't as tough as his. He head butts and it hurts, but he just laughs. His latest move is to run full sprint at me and head butt my in the stomach. It happened by accident at first and my main concern was that he might have been hurt, but no, having literally bounced off, he starts laughing and does it again. If I see him coming I can tense my abs to serve as a sort of shield, but if he catches me off guard it really hurts:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Out of the 3 of them, only one has broke my bones, still love them all to bits though.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. When I'm rough playing with my lad he does the same thing when I restrain him. I think it's just nature that they use whatever means they have to get free. My lad is just at groin height and he too thinks its great to run head first into me, now if he catches me unaware on that one I'm in serious trouble.

Next time he does it, wait until just before the point of impact, then step smartly to one side.
Best done if you're standing in front of a wall or a large item of furniture. :)

Clueless , Its called survival, human instinct to react in a threatening situation.
He was under threat and used his Loaf,(literally),good on him,it's a big bad world out there.
I had four brothers, and if we had any confrontation between us my Dad would put boxing gloves on us and put us in the spare room to sort it out, it worked ,to this day we are the best of friends
and when we get together have many a laugh remembering some of the boxing bouts between us.

Its all a part of growing up and showing strength.:blue thumb:.
