Just wondering if I should maybe put carpet over the base of trees I've just planted, as the weather may be harming them??

Was thinking of putting some carpet down or such like?

    Cheers very much,
    Alexei

Shouldn't have thought so ....mulch with bark. The ground here doesn't freeze very deep (says he hopefully [IMG] )

Not necessary I wouldn't have thought but won't hurt as long as its not the rubber backed stuff that's impervious to water!
