I have a rosemary plant (dont know which variety) that has blue flowers and has had them for a couple of weeks now. Should I leave these flowers on or should I cut it back to encourage it to grow a bit more???

cut it back a bit to stop it getting woody..

Many plants are flowering early because they are anticipating hot, dry times to come and are trying to conserve energy. Give your plants a hand ââ?¬â?? as soon as plants, such as rosemary, have flowered, cut them back. (If youââ?¬â?¢re in the north of the country and enjoying a more ââ?¬Ë?normalââ?¬â?¢ spring ââ?¬â?? enjoy! But still donââ?¬â?¢t forget to cut back a little later in the year.)

If there is a drought on the way, as many are predicting, make sure you mulch your plants to stop them from drying out. Use straw, leaf mould or bark (not too close, otherwise bark can burn the plant). Start using a butt to collect rain water and look at ways to reuse your ââ?¬Ë?greyââ?¬â?¢ water from sinks and baths. Donââ?¬â?¢t forget to paint your greenhouse so that you can provide some much needed shade for your plants.
