Should i mow now.

The weather here is unusually mild for this time of year, it's usually a lot colder. Anyway the grass is growing, about 5" in some places. Should i mow it or just leave it till spring? If i mowed it now, the grass cuttings would come in pretty handy

 

John you can mow now , if the ground /grass is not to wet . I always leave it until mid afternoon on a nice day , then the grass is as dry as it is going to get . If the grass is 5" tall , I would cut on a very high setting . Presume you are using a rotary mower ? If the ground is very wet you can't mow.
