should i repot an outdoor plant now or wait

I have an apple tree in a pot and i would like to take it out and fill the pot up with more soil /compost. I think its dormant now. Should i repot it now or wait until Feb/March ?

 

I'd wait until Spring.
It's dormant at the moment so the additional compost will be of no benefit.
Wait until you see some sign its waking up, then repot so it can enjoy the new compost.
