    Hi guys,

I have 2 crown prince squash plants in my standard-sized veg bed. Theres 4 or 5 large squash on each plant, with more beginning to form.

Are crown prince like tomatoes, in as much as its best to remove newly forming squash in order to let the larger ones fully mature? If so, how many should I limit per plant?

    Thanks

@Tufty , I would remove any new squashes, 4 per plant is a good number . I'm happy with 3 large squashes per plant.

I have stopped mine now, but they are still wanting to send out new shoots which i have to keep on top of otherwise they will take over the garden!

Ah ok, great thanks. Ill will squish any new squash! ;)
Should I let existing shoots continue to get longer, or like tomatoes, restrict any further foliage so the energy goes into the squash?

@Tufty , I tend to nip out new shoots once I've got the number of squash I want on the plant.
