hello, as you can see from the pic i have a couple of shoots growing a lot faster than the rest of the bush.
i do want this bush to grow tall but i also want to encourage dense growth, i'd like a full bodied bush!
so should i cut back the leaders and if so, when is the right time of year to do so?
    thanks
    zac

Well if it was me I would say yes and low down below the height of the rest do that when it shoots they are below the top, then tip prune constantly so it gets a lovely thick round ball.. then each year after so it keeps the shape but keeps growing slowly.

          Yes indeed zac.
Some will argue it is too late now but do it asap. :) Makes for greater density
