I ordered this Climbing Rose "Bathsheba" on Sunday night and it arrived today at 9a.m.

It's going to be planted in front of my Lilac "Madame Lemoine" so that it can climb up it and provide colour when the Lilac is not in flower.

I just received my zinnia, atlasa carrot and cyperus papyrus seeds.

      On the papyrus packet
      "Look closely. Seed like dust."

      Too much fun!

Tropicana Canna - good for zones 8-10 … so I'll have to figure out how to overwinter it. :)

In the UK there are plenty who dig them up and put them in their attic space. Not sure if this would be too cold in your winters.

Our attics have a fair amount of insulation in the "floor" area so the air up there is almost as cold as outside but thank you for the suggestion @andrews :) If I came into money, that space would be converted to a livable space with skylights for plants to enjoy. Ah, the daydreams...

I guess in the UK it would go down to -1 degree C (ish).

We have no attic space (vaulted ceilings) - think I may have a bit of explaining to do if I brought cannas into the bedroom so mine stay in pots, fairly dry in the polytunnel which I keep above 3 degrees

@andrews I remember the temperature going down to -40c one winter and -1c is considered extremely mild for our winters. I'll find a spot to bring it indoors to overwinter. My biggest worry with bringing things in is also toting in the insects that live there too.
