Any ideas what this might be? It’s clearly meant to be variegated but a big chunk of it has reverted to plain green.
I know I’m supposed to prune out the non-variegated bits, but would like to know if it’s likely to regrow if I cut it back hard.

It looks like Prunus lusitanica variegata.....Portuguese laurel. You can chop it hard back but make sure you take out the reverted branches back to the main trunk and you'll have to watch out for new growth reverting too.

Thank you that looks like the one! It needs a good prune anyway so now I know I can be brave, and I’ll keep an eye on it for any signs of further reversion.
