Shrub/tree identity evergrren with long catkins

    I wonder if someone could help me identify a tree which I have liked for a number of years but have not found a name. I think it's evergreen broadish leaved shrub and has quite long catkins this time of year - any help appreciated.

    I think it may be a Garrya eliptica.. Does it look like this..?? Another name is the Silk tassle bush..

    Is this it..? A beautiful shrub I think.. Have one it is about 15 yrs old now, but still going strong..

    Yes, I agree with you Marley Farley. Garrya is at it's best right now. A welcome splash of subtle colour in a winter garden.

    Thats it ! - thanks Marley Farley, Like boghopper says I want one to add a bit of interest. Cheers I will have to find a garden center/nursery to get one.
