Please can anyone help me, I am looking for ten or more small trees to decorate tables at an event. They need to have a long bare stem, so that those sitting at the tables can see people on the opposite side, with a ball of dense dark green foliage above. Like a miniature version of a bay tree. So far I have seen azaleas that would do, but they were £35 and I am looking around the £15 mark. I once had a twisted Ficus which would have been perfect.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a nursery in the south of england (east or west), i would be very grateful. Many thanks, Clarey

Can't help with the nursery - but how about Dracaena schryveriana - the dragon tree. Tis fairly common in garden centre. [IMG]
