Hi. I have a 20 year old Laburnum. Every spring it flowers profusely.Except this year. It did produce about a dozen or so flowers and it is covered in leaf which I know comes after the flowers but it seemed to try and do both at the same time this year.At first I thought it was the hard winter and then the late frosts. But I am noticing that all the others I see are in full flower. Anybody have any ideas.

Laburnum trees are quite short lived Samuelcat. I hope yours is not coming to the end of its life. I think you can only wait and see what happens.

Mine has been flowering biennially for years,

Its flowering like crazy this year, next year there will only be a few flowers.

As long as the new foliage looks healthy its not a problem

Plants, like humans, need a rest from time to time to build their strength up. Don`t give up on it yet.:gnthb::old:
