Hi everyone well as you have all been out enjoying the sun today I had a fight with a chainsaw and lost so I spent the rest of the day up a+e being sewn up. It was my own fault being a tree surgeon I should of known better and put my chainsaw trousers on but I thought it's only stump t trim off at the ground I was not counting on finding half a house brick in the middle off it

Oh ouch, like Jenny I hope it isn't tooo severe and we are talking single and no double figures re stitches.Felling trees is no doubt a dangerous job when unexpected objects are found lurking. Take care.

In the name of the wee man! That sounds properly painful!

Hope you have a speedy recovery Andrew, and never any recurrence.

Ouch! Hope the recovery goes well Andy.
I occasionally use a chainsaw at work and I can sympathise. It's so tempting when you've only got a little 'quickie' job, to skip all the putting on all the protective gear.
Thanks for the reminder. I'll think of you next time I get the beast out.

Holy mackerel. Could have been much worse.

I'll remember your tale next time I use the chainsaw. I'm not a tree surgeon and not qualified to use one, and to be honest a bit reckless with it in that I don't wear protective gear (except steel toe capped shoes or boots, a rule I imposed after I nearly chopped my toes off once).

          Ouchie!!

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Andy, but don't *rush* it; give yourself the proper healing time before you rush back to work.

Oh, Sheal, you are sooo 'demanding' :heehee:
The poor guy has just chain-sawed his knee, despite his experience/expertise ... up-righting pictures may take a little longer/more practice! Although, dare I say it, less 'painful'? :dunno:

Perhaps he was in a tree when he took the pic for his avatar, and it was because he was distracted trying to use his camera while up a tree that he fell, swung upside and chainsawed his knee, so in fact the pic is actually the right way up given the context in which it was taken?
