Sir Jimmy Saville

Saddened to hear of Jimmy Saville's passing. In the 80's and 90's he did an immense amount for charities across the UK and especially helping those disabled people at Stoke Mandeville hospital where he spent many hours both helping out with a stint at 'portering' but more often encouraging patients who had little to look forward to.

He had many detractors of course but my experience of meeting him when visiting Stoke Mandeville brings nothing but good memories.
