I wanted Sis to put up pictures of the cats she's been in charge of lately, but she hasn't, so I will with this lovely picture of Kitty who lives nearby ...

Apparently Kitty is yawning and not a vicious creature. :D

Perhaps Sis will follow will some pics of Vicky and Jimmy ...

OK, Sis, you win! I'll put some pics of your namesakes in PB and be back with them here later on.

In the meantime, here is a pic of Kitty sharing some Brekkies out back with a hedgehog. I posted it sometime in the autumn somewhere in Pets Corner.

I'm back with some photos of my foster kiddies.

Here is Kitty, playing in our garden last summer. She never came right up to the house as my darling Gato glared at her from all the windows and told her to scat. About 2 weeks after he went up to Cat Heaven, she started trying to move in with us and she still tries every day!

Here are my other foster cats. Their names are Vicky and Jimmy, they are Sis and BiL's namesakes. don't know whether I should say grandcats or great-grandcats!

    Thanks Sis and Rosa.

We do love Kitty but she belongs to the neighbours, actually to one of the 11-year old twin girls. I can't be stealing someone's cat, especially not a childs cat.

They all know that Kitty wants to move in with us but they also know that we won't let her. We let her in the front hall - she pushes in ahead of us! - and also out back in the Wintergarten. That is as far as I allow her to go, and her parents know that.

However, a couple of days ago, she suddenly appeared in the kitchen, gave me a start as my Gato was the last cat there. Hubby had not closed the door from the Wintergarten to the living room properly (on purpose, I think!) and so she came in.

She was over here about an hour ago, wanting a few Brekkies and a cuddle.

I had a bit of a shock when I first saw your pictures Kedi-Gato of little Jimmy as he is the image of one of our old cats Merlin it broke my heart when he died as he was only two....but in those two years the little guy packed enough fun to last others a life time he was quite a character!Hel.xxx.

    Sorry to hear that, Helen.

I don't know if it is sadder to loose a pet at such a young age, thinking how much he will have missed in life. Or loosing an old one, like my Gato and also Mingo, as they have grown so close and are a very real part of you and your life. It still wrenches my heart and I cry a bit when I think of Gato.

I still miss my Tigger and Peanuts - Peanuts passed away 8 years ago, and Tigger 3. We decided not to have any more cats as there are so many birds in the hedge out the back.
We have a cat come and do the daily rounds at the Nursing Home I work at who looks just like Gato!! He completely does as he pleases!! Wanders in the back door, then wanders in and out the rooms, round the lounges!! I had to see a chap with some paperwork yeaterday, and he mentioned the cat had come into his room and jumped up on the bed to sit in the sun. He doesn't like cats and it wouldn't go!! - I'm sure this one knows the old dears who are not "cat" people, as he ALWAYS goes in to see them and winds them up!!! He will only come for a tickle if he wants one, if he doesn't, he'll just stick his tail up in the air and march off down the corridoor - he is such a character!! :D
