Just a Heads Up on things I have spotted in case not already on your radar

    Inbox / Outbox:

Looks like a significant proportion of my messages have imported twice. Easy enough to scan down the list for adjacent entries with same Subject + Date and delete one

Also a significant (all? since a given date? perhaps) number of deleted messages have been imported (e.g. messages from MODs thanking me for reporting spam, which I'm sure I didn't keep!). Again, not hard to delete, but both these put me over my message limit so folk may need to do this otherwise they probably won't be able to receive new messages

    Profile has:

Location etc. blank (Worth putting back in as it shows against the user's posts - unless the Admins will be able to transfer that data)

Date of birth set to "Show". Pretty sure mine was not set to that, but can't be 100% sure.

Various other OPTIONS settings that I have reset back to how I like them - others may want to do the same
I am guessing, but I think this link is generic and will work for others:
    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions

Links to attached images not converted (do don't work). Probably not worth doing anything about.

These are almost certainly on your radar, so only listed here in case not:

Attached images showing as [IMG] (rather than a thumbnail of the image)

Clicking the attached images brings it up in a new window (I expect you are planning to use a "lightbox" or equivalent to show it in-page, sorry if that's already on your radar)

Emoticons missing e.g. :heehee: currently shows as: :heehee:
Also [hr] - which the previous forum added to concatenate multiple posts by the same author, and "[size=large]"

Links in posts (created in MyBBS) to other threads not working. e.g. this link:
    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/Thread-Best-Trees-for-Screening-out-overlooking-windows.html?pid=407981#pid407981
    in this post:
    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/fire-damage-project-t31984.html?p=413193#post413193

Links (created in original vBulletin) now more broken :(
    This post about Tomato pruning:
    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/tomato-plants-t11225.html?p=283271#post283271
contains a link to "Another thread" this was originally this:
    http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=194681#post194681

Presumably the reference number 194681 exists, but has been assigned to a different thread, so clicking that link takes you to this thread which is about Lilacs which will be a bit confusing for visitors Googling for old threads
    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/lilac-in-shady-t16528.html?p=194681#post194681

I find the font a bit small, but I'm sure I can adjust that at my end

I am sure I will be much happier, and it will be more efficient timewise, back in vBulletin than ever I was in MyBBS :thumb: Many thanks

The first thing I noticed was the overabundance of PM's (178 of them). The last format allowed a lot more than this and, as Kristen has pointed out, this one only allows 50. As the others have also been doubled up I shall go through and delete a lot of them when I have time. Until then please don't anybody bother to PM me :)

I'm pleased to be back :yahoo: . I also find the font a bit small but am not sure that I can alter that so admin please look at it when you have time.

Bringing the old emoticons back would also be helpful.

      Many thanks

Will we be able to get all the thread that we subscribe to reinstated without having to go looking for them?

Dunno if it is just me, but I keep getting logged off. Haven't clearing cookies etc as yet, and I plan to just ignore it for a day or two, but just curious if anyone else has the same problem.

I sent a mass email to explain you needed to get a new password - did you not receive it? You also need to make sure you have checked the "remember me" box before you log in.

Smileys have been sorted but if there are any you remember that aren't there now, just post here and let me know. Or there's another thread in Feedback and Bugs forum.

As for all the other things,
~ old subscriptions: gone I'm afraid
~ pms: number permitted upgraded to 500 a few mins ago but all the pms are showing as unread which is a tad annoying!
~ links will have been corrupted, nothing I can do about that, I'm afraid. Please let us know about important ones as you find them, thanks

I'm sure there's a lot more. Happy days!

I keep getting logged off too. Even with the "keep me logged on" box ticked.
Will we be able to add avatars and pictures in our signatures when the site's sorted?

Daisees, I've ticked the "remember me" box too, and that hasn't helped.

Although I never had this problem before do I remember that some people did back when the forum was on vBulletin before?

I wonder if we all still have cookies since that forum? which might well be at odds with the new installation.

Still haven't had time to look at Cookies, I'll report back if I find anything useful.

I'll also try a "virgin" browser too, and see if that "sticks", in which case it will imply that it is local settings that are the issue.

      I've added my Avatar.
You have to go into UserCP - edit Avatar.

But when I try and do that I see this, and the do not use avatar button cannot be de-selected.

I can't do that. It won't let me deselect the "do not use an avatar" box.
