Skimmia Japonica....

    Folks,

    I have two of the shrubs "Skimmia Japonica" in my garden.

    Both are well established (10 years or so) and were doing fine until recently.

    Actually one is still doing fine...

    but the other has started to develop what look like "burnt" patches...

    Anyone any clue what the problem might be? And how I should treat it?

    I'd assume the 1st step it to prune out the bad parts, but what else?

    Apologies for the quality of the images - they were taken on a camera phone...

    My evergreen jasmin has a similar problem, I have just cut off the dead bits so far, but no idea wha it is sorry!

    Looks a bit like wind burn, cold winds can scorch and dry leaves like this. I would prune the dead bits out and wait for the new growth.
