Hi i planted a few skimmia rubella shrubs in my garden last October. They had already lovely purple flowers. The flowers have now started to turn white and look dried out. Is this normal and should I cut the flowers off so new ones can grow for this autumn ?

Not sure from the picture but I get the impression the flowers are now fully open, previously you might have been looking at the buds.

Depending on whether you have Male or female plants, you might get some berries that ripen to red later in year.
