After 4-5 days of hard, solid rain, my campanula is looking a sorry sight :(
All the dead buds have gone slimey and there's some proper frry fungus stuff growing on the rotting stems. Look!
I'm currently treating a jacob's ladder with bicarb in water for mildew. Would this work for the campanula too?
Or should I cut my losses and chop it back? The new buds look OK, it's just the older stuff.

If i was you, i'd remove the furry slimey growth and cut back quite hard. If poss, take a cutting of some healthy growth, and pot on seperately, replant next year.
