Sloping North facing garden Ideas

We are looking for ideas for our garden. We are situated on the Somerset/Wiltshire border. Our back garden is approximately 10 metres wide by 15 metres long. It slopes downwards away from the house at approx 45 degrees(!)and faces NNE.

Because of the slope, we can't actually see much of the garden when we look out of our back windows, although we do have good views across a rural valley. We are looking for some ideas that involve the minimum of labour, outlay and upkeep (isn't everyone?), and not too much height - we don't want to hide the view. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
