    Hi All

I am new here and was after a bit of advice, last year I tried to get my daughter to grow her own carrots in an attempt to get her to get more veg. Slugs got every one and so I was wondering if there are any easy to grow food crops that are slug resistant, I have a real problem with slugs that even the hedgehog cant keep up with.

    Cheers
    Dave

Above ground crops e.g. peas and beans don't generally suffer the same amount of damage. If you plant your brassicas through membrane it will reduce damage considerably.

A tin of carrots is 100% slug proof :D

    Thanks for the welcome

yeah a tin is slug proof but getting my fussy little daughter to eat anything but chocolate isnt easy and I just wanted something that she could grow herself and that might encourage her to eat some veg. She dosnt like peas or beans. we grew some potatoes and made our own chrisps from them that she enjoyed.
