Slug`s skin....

    A pet snake called Slug left this behind - thought you might like a decko

    Most of the campers didn`t know they were sharing the site with her..... she died, but we have this to remember her by :biggrin:

      How big was she Tetters? :)

      Some folk down here thought a elephant moth caterpillar was a baby snake recently! The bulbous eyes made it look both endearing and fascinating:)

        Some people are just plain daft ennit :snorky:
        We have elephant head hawk moths here - quite a colony of them now, as some friends of mine introduced some caterpillars many years ago. We put them on rosebay willowherb. The caterpillar pulls it`s head in which gives the resemblance to the head of an elephant. We see the moths fly in June during the evening hours. They are really pretty.
        Slug was about 4 - 5ft - she would sit round your neck quite happily, and would sometimes go walkabout in the grass when the sun was out.
