My potatoes are always perfect and never eaten by slugs... yet my friend in the South West has a real problem with her plants being eaten by them. Odd how slugs in different areas seem to have different tastes.. anyone know why?

Oh my god! i was nearly sick when i read what happend to your partner Jay.
Slugs are my absolute pet hate, they make me go all funny and i am that pathetic that i can't even move them, have to get the other half to do the honour (of which he moans profusley everytime..."get a grip" or "call yourself a gardener" etc etc)

I have to say that your last comment Jay about the slugs made me laugh out loud. [IMG]

p.s I didn't know they produce some slime when scared? eeewwwwwwww!! [IMG]

A real tasty meal to a hungry hedgehog, fox and all sorts of wildlife and of course birds!

You wouldn't want them to go without their 5 a day would you? :D :D

Me and the kids play "slugs in Space", where we try and catapult them off a trowel as far as we can into the field behind :D :D
