Slugs ⚡️

    Just got a great tip from a elderly gentleman on my allotment he's say that the really course roofing felt is great for keeping slugs at bay as they hate to crawl on it cause of its grain anyone heard of this ?

      Not heard of this particular idea but sure it will work as slugs will try and avoid going over anything spikey/scratchy. I use manure extensively which has wood shavings in it. The shavings when old and dry are hard and scratchy which prevent my many Hostas from being munched:).

        I don't see why not but I'm not sure that it is the most pleasing on the eye solution.
        Eggshells work as well. My fave however is coffee grounds.

        Good thread though as 'tis going to be a bumper year for the little sods!
