All being well if the weather is on my side this weekend I want to transform a small neglected area into a seating area, after altering a border early this year I never got around to the finishing off bits...I'll be recycling old pavers and bricks for the base and a couple of old garden chairs that have been refurbed by an old friend who has recently been undergoing treatment and needed something to take his mind off things..What a smashing job he's made of them too...:love30:...This has come about because I received a beautiful climbing Rose from a very special Rosarian friend of mine and it deserves an extra special place:wub2:....Hopefully I'll do the Rose and my friends justice:thumbsup:

    This is the spot:blue thumb:

Looking forwards to this one. I plan to do something similar in the sun trap area in my garden in the corner. :-)

                  Job done:thumbsup:

It was only a very tight space so decided against any trellis for the Rose to climb as I didn't want to be cementing posts in in between plants....I've yet to get some long bolts to drill into the garage to run wires for it to climb ,the longest vine eye's I can find are only 6" and need longer...

I trimmed back the Ivy ,which I'll need to keep on top of.Then dug a hole for my rose a good two spits deep and refilled with some good compost then levelled the ground again..whacked down the pavers and edged with some bricks ...Gave the chairs a stain and planted my Rose .Unfortunately the Rose is slightly off center because as I was digging away I almost went through the pipe work and electrics for the pond:doh:...well it was 25 years ago they were done how am I supposed to remember:snork:....

A small space but nice and cozy and it's tided that patch up a bit:blue thumb:

What rose is going to be climbing and where will it go?.
Time to crack open a bottle of something fizzy don't you think?
