Saw this in Trengwainton Garden, Cornwall, the other day.

    Any ideas?

    The flowers look like Enkianthus.

      Thanks punkdoc
      I think you are right.
I wonder which spp. There appear to be 2/3 with white flowers.

After a fair amount of digging, I believe it to be a white cultivar of Enkianthus campanulatus.

Well, it appears I was wrong.
I've just heard back from the head gardener.
Apparently it is Enkianthus cernuus, and was sourced, in 1936, from K Wada who ran Makoneya Nursery in Japan.
