Kept saying I was going to give it a go and this year I have!!!!!

    Nettle fertiliser!!!

Only problem is what can I use it on and more importantly what shouldn't it be used on.

Been Googling for most part of this hot afternoon and came across a lot of conflicting advice.

    Can anyone enlighten me please.
    :thankyou:

re nettle " tea" for plants

An old favourite and I never had any issues re what to use it on etc. Just applied it very diluted to all my beds. About one in ten diluted. Never caused any harm and did a lot of good. I have a container "stewing" right now and it will go on flowers and vegetables. NB it does smell very bad.

Sometimes you can read too much?

Yeah, just dilute it a bit.
Does pong, but anything that smells that bad has got to be good.:)

OK thanks everyone....so good for everything then.

Some info said it was good for strawberries and also roses then another site said it wasn't due to the high iron content. Then somewhere else said it was good as a pest control and also for leafy plants/ shrubs.

True @Islander77 ...you can have too much info sometimes....frazzled my brain!!!!:heehee:

It depends on how much water you start out with and how much nettle you add.:biggrin:

                    Awwwww!!l!......never ever @shiney !!!

We.....( Well hubs actually as he hasn't any sense of smell, which in this case is very fortunate!!) have just strained it off and decantered it into bottles. God!! flies appeared from nowhere!!!

Been out for a walk along our lane and have gathered more and started up another brew.:dbgrtmb:

Not sure if I've done right ,but I haven't any Citrus feed at the moment..so I have given my newly acquired ( Dad's) Lemon Tree a dose.

Mum bought Dad and I a Lemon Tree a couple of years before she passed away ( so around 2004) this one I now have is Dads, so it's at least 16 years old. Hate to say mine only last 2 years!!:yikes:

Thank goodness I've now found you my lovely gardening buddies...to come to my rescue this time around.
