Im a bit stumped and have no inspriation for smoothie recipes so was hoping someone might know some good ones that they could share with me

Just a heads up i never have milk in the house and i dont like red berry stuff generally so blueberries are fine but strawberry, raspberry and cranberry aren't

If anyone has any ideas or recipes that would be great thank you :-)

I had a book, from the works I think, which had about 100 differnt recipes for juices and smoothies in it.
I definitely would include yoghurt or crushed ice in mine because I don't like them too intense/sweet in flavour.

If you don't use milk, you could use orange juice as your liquid base. A banana is the top thing (in my opinion) to thicken it. Other than that, just experiment. I use yoghurt, chocolate, honey, any fruit, carrots, and on several occasions (my son's idea) sprouts.

I know some people who blend up just veg to make a smoothie. While I'm sure that's very healthy, it just sounds like a liquid salad to me.

I got the Jason vale book. It's the one that's designed to get you to lose so many pounds over so many days, and he loves to name-drop 'celebrities' but there are some great juice & smoothie recipes in there. Once you get past his ego ;)

Apple carrot and fresh ginger is my favourite a couple of your fav apples approx 4 medium carrots and about 1/2 thumb of ginger.
? Is it a juicer and blender as hard fruit really needs juicing!

        Thanx guys

Its a blender adendoll just starting out with this to see if i would actually use it before spending more on a juicer. This was quite cheap. It does crush ice tho.

Clueless im not bothered about them being thick to be honest. I hate really thick smoothies.

I love bananas and i love banana milk and everything else banana but cant stand when a non banana smoothie just tastes of banana. Do you know what i mean.

Will check out the books today.

Do you reckon kale will be ok to be blended? I did have a nice kale apple and lime thing the other month from the supermarket

Thank you pamsdish i thought i had replied to say that but obviously hadnt so sorry

Tried one of the breville ones today as i got my abel and cole delivery

Its apple, spinach, celery, apple juice and lime juice

Was nice but i had to put in more lime juice than suggested and still needed more flavour

It was a bit bitty and lumpy but im not great with bits which is why a juicer would suit me better but sure i will get use to it

I use coconut water at times for some fruit mix ones or tesco usually have 2 for a £1 litre tropical cartons(or similar) but i like any mix with spinach, advacado, mango, lemon or limes.
            Frozen fruit makes sorbets..as i found :)

Think a juicer would be better than a blender for apple and carrots the apple makes it lumpy so i think carrots would be worse.

Tried avocado, banana, chocolate milk and kale today. It was one of the recipes on the breville site. It was far too thick and creamy for me and i wasn't keen on the taste
