Snails and Hellebores

    Hi

    I've bought a Hellebore but read on the RHS site that snails can be a problem.

    My question is whether to plant in a tub, or put in a flower bed with grit & snail pellets?

    I never find any problem with snails.

      Snails have never bothered my Hellebores so I would not worry about that aspect too much.

        Snails, and slugs, don't really bother the hellebores but they enjoy wintering under their leaves. So the recommended thing is to remove the leaves in late winter so you're not harbouring pests for springtime.

          I have them growing all over the garden and never lost any to snails!
